Entry requirements
To apply for La Trobe’s online Master of Cybersecurity course, you’ll need a completed application and the following:
successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) |
transcripts from all prior universities |
Entry requirements: Online cybersecurity short courses
Beginner and intermediate short courses | We welcome students from any background to apply for the undergraduate short courses, no matter what your experience. |
Advanced short courses | We welcome students from any background to apply for the postgraduate short courses, however experience in IT or cybersecurity is highly advised. |
International Students
Proof of English language proficiency is required to study a La Trobe University. You can find the requirements for all courses here.

Recognition of prior learning
If you’ve completed previous study, you may qualify for advanced standing. This can reduce the number of subjects required to complete your course so you graduate sooner and save on tuition fees.
